Deputy Finance Officer

Performs a variety of financial, accounting, and office support duties of a responsible nature, including maintenance of the budgetary accounting system, preparation of payroll, payroll reporting to state and federal agencies, maintenance of accounts payable system, and management of District funds, including investments; as Deputy Finance Officer prepares financial documents; assists General Manager with budget preparation and financial reporting.

Experience Preferred:  Four years of responsible experience with a small governmental or business organization keeping financial records, including general ledger accounting, billing accounts receivable, preparing payroll, handling disbursements, receipts and financial statements. Two years of college or business school bookkeeping training or related professional training; or any satisfactory combination of experience, training, and skills will be considered.  Salary begins at $50,000; benefits include CalPERS, health insurance, vacation, holidays, etc. Applicants should submit a completed application form (link is above), a resume and copies of any relevant degrees or certificates.

Firefighter

Position performs varied assignments related to operation and maintenance of firefighting equipment and vehicles.  Minimum requirements include possession of a high school diploma and a valid CA drivers license.  Upon hire, employee will train and work toward obtaining their EMT certification and Firefighter Endorsement CADL within the first year of employment.  If hired, must live within 10 miles of District.  Salary begins at $39,699; benefits include CalPERS, health insurance, vacation, holidays, etc.  Drug screen and physical exam upon hire. Water/Sewer Utility Operator II

Position performs varied assignments in installation, maintenance and repair of water distribution systems and wastewater collection system.   Minimum of 2 years experience required, including pipelines, valves, hydrants, pump stations, regulating stations, storage facilities, meter reading and repairs and customer service orders.  Heavy equipment experience required.  Applicants must obtain T2 and D2 certificates from State Water Resources Control Board Drinking Water Division within 6 months of employment and hold a valid CA drivers license.  If hired, must live within 10 miles of District.  Salary schedule begins at $48,067; benefits include CalPERS, health insurance, vacation, holidays, etc.  Drug screen and physical exam upon hire. Water/Sewer Utility Operator I

Position performs varied assignments in installation, maintenance and repair of water distribution systems and wastewater collection system.   Some utility, construction and/or maintenance experience required.  Heavy equipment experience desired.  Applicants must obtain D1 certificate from the State Water Resources Control Board Drinking Water Division within 6 months and hold a valid CA drivers license.  If hired, must live within 10 miles of District.  Salary schedule begins at $43,600; benefits include CalPERS, health insurance, vacation, holidays, etc.  Drug screen and physical exam upon hire.
